It's been loved for 38 years by twoowners. Common statement from those who see it "it looks new and what awonderful paint job". Original owner and i have always kept a plasticmat over it. The headliner was replaced along with the visors and vinyl trim wasput back on the visors. The rear bumper fillers have been replaced. Ipurchased it from the original owner in 2002 who like me kept it in tempcontrolled garage. The color is red cedar with light cedar roof and antique dkcedar leather and carpet. No cracks in the leather and any marks or stains onthe mats or carpet. Pictures of the car show the new tires on used rims. Ipurchased these tires and rims to keep the originals intact. The pictures of 4tires are the original tires still on original rims. These are the original wirewheel covers which to my knowledge were available for two years. To my knowledgethe 1981 eldorado and seville went to a flusher hub with red center cover. Thesetires pictured have less than 300 miles on them and have a total of six, twospares. The tires in the picture turn brown and it takes elbow grease to getthem white. In one of the car shows someone damaged the paint on the trunk. That is a dime in the middle of the three chips. No matter how hard iworked to keep it safe it didn't help. Damage was at a car show. Ididn't want to repaint the trunk and destroy the complete original paintfrom production. The brake light came on and the brakes are weak.

The car runs and drives great, the interior is nice and the exterior is nice as well (body is straight, had one paint job that is good in most places but does have a few imperfections to be expected from a 40 year old car. The convertible top works ( i have a new canvas) and so do all the gauges in the car except for clock. I rebuilt engine heads, new carburetor, new radiator, distributor, new power steering lines, rebuilt front end.

A special carpet reserved for the eldorado modelsincluded the aluminum-ribbed rubber floor pads. This eldorado has the gold trimpackage that includes the sabre wheels, grill insert and emblems. One repaint inblack was done more than 20 years ago. The leather interior has been replaced bycorrect grain glove-soft leather in the correct trim and style. The carpet wasalso replaced with correct style carpet. The power trunk works fine and containsthe original "hard-boot" set of three pieces with individual storage bags. Apleasure to drive and dependable in all road conditions. An electric cooling fanhas been added for parade use or heavy stop and go traffic. To help keep powerto the electric fan, a heavy duty alternator has been added. There is a hi-endstereo system with controls in the glovebox so as to keep the interior inoriginal appearance.
