Engine: rebuilt by cam at pettitracing, a legendary rotary expert. Less than 5000 miles. Alwaysstarts, smooth idle. Running stock 11 lbs of boost, managed via the upgraded ecu(power fc). Fuel pump upgraded to the oem quality denso model. Cooling capacityupgraded via koyo radiator and pettit intercooler; flow improved via downpipe,racing beat exhaust, greddy intake elbow, and k&n intake. Other adds includealuminum flywheel, upgraded pulley & guides, and vacuum simplification withbanzai kit. Output is a robust 320 hp to the rear wheels. Suspension: theamazing and expensive ohlin coilovers installed last summer. Also added is theoem mazda r1 strut brace (repainted silver) as well as banzai trans and diffbraces, all greatly increasing structural rigidity. Wheels and tires also lessthan 5000 miles (tracklite wheels, staggered 18x8. 5 & 9. 5). Interior: startingwith the 1994 interior (mazda vastly improved it from the 1993 model), tastefulupgrades have been made to the black and tan combo. Leather seats have beenrecovered in black italian leather (removing the old tan mazda surfaces). Seatplastic trim has been replaced with black pieces acquired used to support thecolor conversion. The shift knob also has been recovered, and a new leather bootis in place for the shifter and e-brake. The factory tan carpet still in placefor a great color contrast! Never drove it in the winter. The body is rust free. No surface rust topor bottom. However i would consider this to be a drivers car. Meaning that thepaint has several dings and a few touch ups. It could use a paint job to be verynice. Them edition comes with power windows, leather seats and abs brakes. When ipurchased the car it needed a timing belt and then i progressively started makeseveral other upgrades. The head was removed for a valve job, surfacing gasketmatching along with all new hydraulic lifters! With 24 click spectrumfenders rolled,corner weighted and lowered to 949 racing specshard dog sport roll barracingbeat headerhigh flow catalytic convertergoodwin cat back exhaust power steeringdeleteair conditioning deletecruise control delete all parts on the car have twoautocross days (with a 1st and a 2nd finish) on them and less than 200 miles. Itis all just broken in. As started above the paint is not perfect. The seats alsohave wear. This sort of thing just doesn't come out well in pictures. Ive maintained it very well, including full synthetic oil changes every approx. 3000 miles. Ive kept a logbook of everything ive done to the car or anytime its been serviced at all. Its got 123000 miles on it now, but it runs like a champ and still looks fantastic. Everything works great. Ive never had any issues with this car. Itll be sad to see her go. Its missing the sun visors. There is some oxidation of the paint near the headlights as depicted in the picture.
